The goal of Breast Intentions is to support those individuals and their families who are fighting Breast Cancer. Our mission is to help them deal with the consequences of this diagnosis by providing emotional, intellectual, spiritual and financial support and resources in their time of need. Additionally, it is the goal of Breast Intentions to encourage young women to take charge of their health by performing monthly breast self examinations.

On October 28, 2011 Erika Rech and Mike Ruane were invited to Drumthwacket where First Lady, Mary Pat Christie, recognized them as NJ Heroes for their work on behalf of those affected by breast cancer. Also in attendance was Abby Hassel, from Kennedy Health Center, who raised $6,000 on behalf of Breast Intentions for patients at Kennedy Health Center.
